Living at IHD means soaking up the vibes of the Aussie tropics and the gems that the Northern Territory has to offer! In the heart of indigenous and multicultural Darwin – it’s got that special something. Plus, being in the Northern Territory, South-East Asia is just a short flight away.

At IHD, we’re all about embracing the laid-back vibes of academic residential living. Students from all corners of the globe and down under come together to learn, live, and vibe together. Some people say that learning to coexist in a community is like a masterclass in itself. With 350 residents, we tackle that challenge head-on every day.

Sure, it’s not a walk in the park, but it’s also not rocket science. When residents buy into values like respect, understanding, and friendship, the whole college experience gets a glow-up. A happy heart equals a happy mind. We thrive on good company and dive headfirst into the fun and joy of community life. Together, we make memories and forge lifelong friendships.

Meet the team who help build our IHD community.

Manager Accommodation Service
Nurul Kamaruzaman

Based at IHD, Nurul oversees the management of accommodation facilities offered by CDU in Darwin (IHD), Katherine (KSA) and Alice Springs (ASSA). She is the Head of IHD.

Coordinator Resident Services
Philip Mayo

The Coordinator Resident Services manages the student experience at IHD, from resident enquiries and applications, to arrival, orientation and transition, to community life, student welfare and the student leadership team.

Business Manager
Kat Dittmer

The Business Manager oversees finance, business, human resources and property functions within Accommodation Services, including IHD, ASSA and KSA.

Resident Engagement Officer
Marika Moala

The REO is responsible for coordinating academic, social and personal development activities at IHD and giving every resident the opportunity to get involved in the IHD community.

Housekeeping Supervisor
Matile Phillips

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing cleaning, repairs and maintenance at IHD.

Maintenance Officer
John Kasi

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for upkeep of IHD grounds and fixing maintenance issues which don’t require contractors.

Guest Services Officer
Zsuzsanna Stinner

The Guest Service Officers are the first point of contact at IHD and are responsible for all resident bookings, accounts and attending to any general queries from students, staff and the general public.

The Communication and Marketing Officer is responsible for marketing, internal and external IHD communications, as well as the marketing and communication of ASSA and KSA.

The Communication and Marketing Officer is responsible for videography, photography, and other graphic designs that contribute to marketing and communication efforts of IHD, ASSA and KSA.
